Groundbreaking Ceremony Launches Construction of the new CoE Building

The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new College of Engineering Building was held at the original site of Chih-Hung Hall on June 27, 2018, co-hosted by Interim President Tei-Wei Kuo of NTU and Dean Wen-Chang Chen of College of Engineering.


 

President Kuo expressed his congratulations to the new construction, which has undergone planning, fundraising and three times of urban design review through over 20 years.

 

The new College of Engineering Building will be built at the original site of Chih-Hung Hall. While preserving part of the Old Mechanical Building as a historical spot, it is designed a 7-story building with a floor area of 22,250 meter square. It is estimated to be completed in September, 2020.
